Africa: 9 days Lake Turkana & Samburu Adventure Truck Safari Kenya

Africa is so divers and special Kenya has various sceneries with you can discover by this truck safari to Lake Turkana, where Lucy was found - the oldest woman ever found.

Day 1: Nairobi - Rift Valley - Nakuru.
Pick up from the Airport in the morning to be transferred through a beautiful Rift Valley to the lake Nakuru(which means dust to dust in maasai Language).
Dinner and overnight at a Nakuru hotel either Merrica or The Stem for both are budget hotels and are very clean.

Day 2: Nakuru - Maralal.
After early breakfast we will set out for a trip through  Subukia road to Nyahururu where you can take a short look at the spectaculars Thompson’s Falls. Then we drive to reach the town of Maralal.
Her we spend a night in tents. This is the place where in the Easter time safari rallies take place.
 
Day 3: Maralal - South Horr.
Again in the early morning we will leave the camp and drive through rough terrain through . You
will most probably encounter some wild animals on the way arriving Horr in the evening for dinner and overnight in camp South Horr.

NB:  South Horr Situated on the road that runs parallel to the shores of Lake Turkana, the village of South Horr is set in a verdant canyon surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks. There is no petrol available here, but you will be able to get a cup of tea and a bite to eat.

Day 4: South Horr - Loiyangalani
We will leave the town and travel towards a hot, volcanic desert, where hardly anything can stay
alive. After that amazing visit we will be transferred africa campingto Loiyangalani for the night. Dinner and overnight at camp.

NB: Loiyangalani: The main center for tourists on the Eastern shore, this small town has an airstrip, post office, fishing station, two campsites and a luxury lodge, surrounded by the traditional homes of the Turkana people. (It is best to ask before taking photographs and expect to pay a fee for the privilege).

Day 5: Lake Turkana

Finally we can rest! Leisure time and meeting the smallest, a people almost getting  extinct  a tribe by the name of El Molo. A voyage around the lake in a rowing boat. You will also have a chance to go swimming but beware of crocodiles! For those how prefer peace and quiet – a swimming pool in a nearby lodge. The scenery around here will remind you what the ancient people lived like.
This is the place where the oldest human corps were found near the town of Kobi For a. That is why Africa is being called the mother of all humanity. Meals and overnight in the camp.

Day 6: Lake Turkana
We leave early to catch the morning chill. Long trip to the Wamba village.

Day 7: Lake Turkana - Samburu Park
Transfer to Samburu Park, where by the Ewaso Ngiro River
under an umbrella-shaped acacia we will set up our camp. Day 8: Samburu Park
We will spend the whole day on safari watching and tracking animals. We will learn that this is the place where we can find giraffe, zebra and Oryx antelope species that are totally different than anywhere else. We can also meet the worldwide known lioness, which “adopted” young Oryxes a couple of times in the past. You can read about it in National Geographic. The scenery around us is stunning – bush, mountains and often visible Mt. Kenya.
    
Day 8: Samburu Park - Nairobi

Drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at a budget hotel. We hope you liked the safari giving you the tate of real Africa!
