Rift Valley Excursions (EX02)

Rift valley & Lake Nakuru - a full day

Lake Nakuru lies in the volcano strewn Rift Valley. One of the chain of 8 lakes which stretch the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia. The 160 Kms drive from Nairobi passes through highlands farms of the Kikuyu people before descending an escarpment into the dramatic landscape of the Rift Valley. Lunch is taken I the park and is followed by and extensive tour of the park. On the return journey to Nairobi a stop is made at L Naivasha where tea is served among the fever trees and where bird-watchers will be delighted in the fantastic array of bird-life.
