10 days vacation to Kenya! Give yourself a treat and make your dream come true in our
suggested Africa safari. Punctual pick up at the airport by our warm welcoming staff. After
which we recommend visit Karen Blixen's Museum (from the movie “Out of Africa”) to refresh your mind, feed the gentle Rothschild's Giraffes and admire African art at Utamaduni. Then drive to the North to Aberdares National Park for your first of many game watching experiences.
Have a look at the glistening cap of snow on the dormant volcano of Mount Kenya then head for Samburu National Reserve for a full day of game drives with a chance to see lions, leopards and giant crocodiles continue with a visit Lake Nakuru, famous for its pink flamingos. Next head for Maasai Mara to see the red-clad, spear-wielding Masai warriors and Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's most renowned game park.
After all this fun drive to Nairobi to enjoy a farewell dinner at the famous Carnivore restaurant for all types of game meat.
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
We will pick you up at the airport to the Panafric hotel. After refreshing yourself take an afternoon orientation drive through Kenya's modern, mile-high capital to the area of Karen Blixen's farm (movie: Out
of Africa") at the foot of the Ngong Hills. Visit the fascinating museum dedicated to the author of
Out of Africa; feed the gentle Rothschild's Giraffes at the Giraffe center. Finally, admire authentic
African art and crafts at UTAMADUNI. This night you will have a short briefing about the safari,
then dinner and overnight at the hotel Panafric.
Day 2: Nairobi - Aberdares
After an early breakfast you head north into the well-watered, fertile area where members of the Kikuyu tribe grow corn, bananas, pineapples, coffee and tea. En route we take a break at the
thundering Thika Falls then drive on to the luxurious Outspan Hotel for a country style lunch.
In the afternoon we transfer into the Aberdare National Park to Treetops or the Ark for an evening
and night of game watching from your veranda overlooking a flood-lit water hole and salt lick
high up on the densely wooded slopes of the mountain. While away the after-dinner hours identifying creatures of the wild as they gingerly step out of the forest. Animal found here include elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, cheetah, giraffe among others.

Day 3: Aberdares - Mount Kenya - Samburu National Park
We drive back to the Outspan or Aberdare country club for breakfast and early departure for
Samburu Game Reserve. Cross the equator on the way to the Northern foothills of Mount Kenya,
a 17,058-foot (5300 m) dormant volcano with a glistening cap of ice and snow. Proceed to the grassland area which forms the bridge between Kenya's lush south and parched north. Watch out for herds of impalas, Grant's gazelles, and African buffalo as you enter the park at the afternoon game drive.

Day 4: Samburu National Park
A full day of game driving includes outings at dawn, when animals are most active in the
late morning and afternoon, when the light is best for photography. Then we return to the lodge for
breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today you stay close to the Ewaso Nyiro River, where vast herds
of plains game come to water, braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees and giant
crocodiles. Stars of Samburu not easily seen elsewhere are the liver-red reticulated giraffe,
the long-necked gerenuk antelope and the elegant Grevy's zebra.

Day 5: Samburu - Lake Nakuru
Visit the spectacular Nyahururu (Thompson) Falls and then make your way down the eastern
escarpment of the magnificent Rift Valley. After lunch we take a leisurely drive through Lake
Nakuru National park, famous for its pink flamingos. We drive to the edge of the lake to view hundreds of
thousands of birds feeding in the alkaline water; see the sweeping view from the top of Baboon Rocks; then look for warthogs and waterbucks as you leave the park.
Lake Nakuru national park offers a truly remarkable game drive that includes flamingoes as well as the rare white rhino in this world famous ornithological paradise with over 450 species of bird life.
A shimmering hot-pink glow emanates across the lake, created by millions of flamingos.
Pelicans, cormorants and Marabou storks also feed on the abundant algae in the warm, shallow alkaline water. Lake Nakuru National Park is a sanctuary for endangered black rhinos and White Rhino as well as the Rothschild giraffes. Waterbuck are common here, as are their predators lions and leopards.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After breakfast we depart for Maasai Mara traversing the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim. You're now in Maasai country, where sedentary crop farming gives way to nomadic cattle
herding. Red-clad, spear-wielding Maasai warriors tend their multi-colored herds among the wild animals of the Loita Plains, admirably unimpressed by the presence of large predators.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Park
Dawn, morning and afternoon we will enjoy game drives in the Maasai Mara national game reserve, Kenya's
best and most scenic game park. At the northern extremity of the unique Serengeti ecosystem, blessed with a permanent water supply, the Maasai Mara has a thriving, permanent migrating population of plains game, augmented in the dry season by the migration of two million gnus and zebras from the vast, parched Serengeti plains. Of the hunter's "big five," elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard are quite common, while even the much rarer rhino might come out of the thicket for you. Hyenas are plentiful and the cheetah, a 60-miles-per-hour daytime hunter, is often seen.

Day 8: Maasai Mara
Game viewing and photography: sunrise and sundown are the greatest moments for game
viewing in these mystic plains, a time where the soft red hues of the sun will give your photographs
the clarity of the actual African savannah. Morning game viewing with long drive to the Mara river
where you will be able to view Hippos and Crocodiles. After lunch at lodge, take an afternoon drive in the Maasai Hills.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
NB.: A brief tour (optional) to the Maasai village will be given to see Maasai dance and culture as well as to appreciate their traditions that has withstood the test of time and modern.
Day 9: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Another early morning pre-breakfast game drive to complete your list of sightings. We drive back to the lodge for breakfast. Depart for Nairobi with game drive en route to arrive late afternoon. You may want to check out the capital's excellent shops or simply relax by the pool.
Tonight compare notes with your safari companions as you enjoy a farewell dinner at the most famous of African restaurants: The Carnivore.

Day 10: Depart Nairobi
According to your flight schedule you have options to visit the Nairobi National museum (at the moment under construction) or just stay at the hotel treat yourself to a swim or go shopping at Nairobi. You will have your room available till 6 pm if you have a late flight.
