    8 days Tanzania Mt Kilimanjaro mountain climbing safari:
    the Machame Route

    Climbing the highest mountain of Africa is a challenge a real climber want toenjoy on the slopes of the Kilimanjaro - reaching the everlasting snow. You will be guided by experienced specialists with the best material.

    Program Mt Kilimanjaro mountain climbing:

    Day 1: Nairobi/Arusha/Moshi Mt_Kilimanjaro_mountain_climbing
    We will meet you at the Nairobi airport or your hotel, where we depart Nairobi by a morning shuttle to Moshi arriving late afternoon.
    Dinner and overnight in a hotel at Moshi.

    Day 2: Moshi - walking to Machame Hut
    After breakfast we drive to Machame Village. The climb begins at the end of the tarmac road, walking for about 6 hours gradually ascending through the forested hills onwards to Machame Hut (3000 m).

    Day 3: Walking/climbing Machame to Shira Hut
    Early in the morning, you will cross a valley and stream before ascending a steep ridge.
    The path then drops into a river gorge before you climb more gently onto the moorland of the
    Shira plateau - 3,800 m. Total climbing time is about 6 hours.

    Day 4: Climbing Shira to Barranco Hut
    The path continues directly up the ridge towards Kibo, then turns right and descends into Barranco gorge. Then we climb to the Barranco hut at 3,940 m shortly after. Total climbing time is about 6 hours.

    Day 5: Climbing Barranco to Barafu Hut
    Crossing the Barranco Valley, we climb the Barranco wall (not technical climbing), then follow the Kibo South Circuit. You will then turn left and climb up a ridge for about 2 hours to Barafu Hut at 4,600 m.
    Dinner and overnight at the Barafu Hut.

    Day 6: Climbing Barafu to Mweka Hut
    Today we will have a very early start for the summit first to Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m. After sunrise, descend down to Mweka Hut, which takes about 6 hours.
    Dinner and overnight at Mweka Hut.

    Day 7: Climbing Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate
    This is the last day of your climb. You will descend to Mweka Gate where you will be met and
    transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Moshi.

    Day 8. Arusha - Nairobi
    We depart Moshi by a morning shuttle back to Nairobi arriving early in the evening.
